Horticulture at Tracy Aviary

Tracy Aviary fosters caring for the natural world, enriching and transforming lives through our connection with birds and plants.

Our Horticulture Department supports this transformation by offering appropriate habitat and aesthetic value both within our exhibits and throughout our grounds in order to further enrich our guests’ experiences, create learning opportunities, and enhance the bridge that we are building between our guests and their natural world. We are committed to maintaining and building Tracy Aviary’s plant collections in order to further aviculture excellence, environmental education opportunities, and guest enjoyment.

We currently have two self-guided educational tours: Attracting Hummingbirds and other Wildlife to your Garden and Trees of the Aviary.  Each activity has been created to educate and to increase awareness about the importance of plants and the habitat they create.

Tracy Aviary is a member of the Utah Nursery and Landscape Association, the American Horticultural Society and the American Public Gardens Association.
