Golden Eagle
The Golden Eagle is one of the largest birds of prey in North America. Golden Eagles are excellent hunters that feed mainly on medium sized mammals. Their powerful feet and sharp talons allow them to grab their prey as they fly over it. They have a hooked beak to help them tear and shred the meat. They get there name from the golden feathers that appear around the neck of adult eagles. Tracy Aviary has two Golden Eagles on display.
