How to Garden Party the Right Way

Not only will this Salt Lake City garden party fulfill your childhood dreams of a sipping tea in a secret garden while becoming a real life Anne of Green Gables, but you'll be helping wild birds and the environment. Ready to Hatch is Tracy Aviary and Botanical Garden's annual conservation fundraiser party with bird visitors, cocktails, grown-ups only and a private after hours view of the Aviary. To garden party the right way and get the full Ready to Hatch experience, we suggest partaking in these top 5 activities at Ready to Hatch 2019

1. Make a Bird Friend

Gardens and birds go hand in hand, so you have to meet one of the various roaming bird visitors at Ready to Hatch. An insider tip is to arrive on time, 6:30pm sharp, as many of our bird friends have bedtimes. You don't want to miss a bird selfie or free-flight experience.

2. Try the Cocktails & Beer, but Space it Out

With lots of delicious cocktails and drinks from Sugarhouse Distillery, Ogden's Own, Kiitos, Hoppers and more, you'll want to try them all. To avoid falling asleep by 9pm, switch up every other drink with a mocktail or water. Stay hydrated and enjoy all the mixings.

3. Dress To Impress

To get the full effect of a garden party, we suggest dressing in your Sunday's best and immersing yourself in the charming garden atmosphere.

4. Take a Photo with Friends at the Photo Booth

Were you really there if you didn't take a photo? Be sure to smile with friends and take your souvenir photo home. Social Light SLC will be here with their gorgeous set-up amongst the flowers.

5. Say Hello To The Kea

Kea are one of the most intelligent birds at the Aviary. Located to the East of the Aviary, Expedition Kea is home to Arthur, Steve Austin, Gonzo, and our very own kea bachelorette, Scarlet. Kea are very social and active at dusk, so you'll most likely find them playing with their toys, laughing, or rolling around on their lawn.

See you at next year's Ready to Hatch event in 2020!
