On Grounds Safety Precautions

Tracy Aviary’s eight acres of gardens will help maintain social distancing practices. Our first priority is ensuring the safety of our guests and staff. We will be controlling the number of visitors on our grounds and taking other safety precautions including:

  • Limit admission to approximately 150 people per hour to ensure low density of guests and to allow appropriate social distancing.
  • Admission tickets will be available for purchase online at tracyaviary.org or touch free at the gate
  • Clearly marked one-way directional signs and demarcation signs by exhibits will encourage distancing from other groups while viewing our birds.
  • Daily general admission will be from 10am to 5pm, Monday - Sunday.
  • Seniors 65+ as well as individuals who are deemed high-risk are invited to visit the Aviary from 9am to 10am, when the grounds will be less crowded.
  • Per Salt Lake County guidelines, face coverings (e.g.mask, scarf, gaiter, bandana) are required to enter. Face coverings are not required for children 2 and under, or on a person with a health condition exacerbated by a face covering.
  • Indoor exhibits, gift shop, bird feeder cafe, and regular programming may be closed or adjusted in accordance with current COVID guidelines
  • Sanitizer stations will be readily available in different locations.
  • Bird Show seating in the amphitheater will be limited to ensure social distancing.

We ask guests who have been in close contact with someone that has tested positive for COVID-19 or have any symptoms to kindly plan to visit at a later date.

The safety of our staff, guests, volunteers, and the birds in our care is always our top priority, so we will continue to closely monitor this evolving situation.
