DESCRIPTION:Join us for a casual\, guided bird walk on snowshoes at Swaner EcoCenter\, especially for LGBTQIA+ folx and our allies. This program is primarily for adults to connect with each other and the incredible birds who call the Jordan River Watershed home. \nREGISTER NOW\nNo bird watching experience? No problem! Our educators and partners are experienced bird nerds and will help you spot and identify birds along the trail. We’ll even have freshly-sanitized binoculars and bird guides for you to borrow. \nWe’re not the only people around the country hosting Let’s Go Birding Together walks! You can read more about the start of Let’s Go Birding Together here and you can read about our program here. \nEvent Details \nWe’ll be meeting at 9am at Swaner Preserve and EcoCenter (1258 Center Drive Park City\, Utah 84098). Look for a sign that says Let’s Go Birding Together! \nIf you need a ride to Park City\, please register for a spot in our 15-passenger transit van. The van will depart from Tracy Aviary in Liberty Park at 8am. \nPlease make sure to dress for the weather and wear appropriate shoes. Bring a snack and plenty of water\, and bring your binoculars if you have them. As always\, we will have some binoculars and bird identification guides to share. Our friends at Swaner EcoCenter will provide snowshoes for you! \nIf you are unable to attend this event\, PLEASE cancel your registration so other people may attend instead. Only registered participants may attend this program. You do not need to present a ticket when attending; we will ask for your name and confirm that the number or tickets we have for your party matches the number of people attending with you. \nPlease assess the health of everyone in your group before attending a program. This program is made for adults to connect with each other and the incredible birds who call the Jordan River home. \nNo bird watching experience? No problem! Our educators and conservation scientists are experienced bird nerds and will help you spot and identify birds along the trail. We’ll even have freshly-sanitized binoculars and bird guides for you to borrow (Thanks\, Utah Division of Arts & Museums\, for funding these tools!). \nWe are excited to be partnering with the Wasatch Mountain Institute! Please meet us at the Rock Cliff Nature Center in beautiful Jordanelle State Park! We will meet there at 9 a.m. We offer transportation in our 15-passenger transit van to all events.
