Volunteer
Our volunteers are a vital part of the magic for Tracy Aviary. Our volunteers enjoy hands-on experiences, meet others with similar interests, and help support one of only two public aviaries in the nation. Investigate the types of volunteer positions available and choose one that’s right for you. Volunteers receive a free annual family membership after completing 20 volunteer hours

Individual Volunteers
If you’re at least 15 years old and looking for an ongoing volunteer opportunity at Tracy Aviary, click the button below to complete your application. If you’re younger than 15 and wish to volunteer, please refer to the Family Volunteer application.
Group Volunteers
Is your school, organization, or workplace looking to complete a community-service project? The Tracy Aviary can host groups from 5 – 25 individuals. Projects mostly take place in the elements, so be ready to get down in the dirt with your peers!
Family Volunteers
Do you and your flock of all-ages want to volunteer together? We accept volunteers of all ages, but those under 15 years old require a chaperoning adult volunteer alongside them.
Court-Ordered Community Service
All community service volunteers must be 18+ years of age. Community Service volunteers work in the Facilities Department assisting custodial, maintenance, or horticulture and cleaning the Aviary grounds. All work is completed outside, so please consider if working in the elements is for you.
