Take a moment and connect with nature! We have Ian Napper, mindful outdoor guide, to share some mindfulness tips from his practice, Nature-based Mindfulness, to incorporate a touch of nature into your daily lives. Here is the first practice, noticing movement and senses, step by step:
🌿 Find a beautiful spot that calls to you
(preferably far enough from roads to eliminate car noise)
🌿 Take what you need to be comfortable and walk a little ways to immerse yourself
🌿 Take a deep breath and let your awareness be fully in the present
🌿 Three to four more deep breaths with longer and longer exhales, slowing down
🌿 Explore the sense of sight, becoming aware of what is around you, maybe focusing on movement or textures
🌿 You could also explore another sense, noticing the external and also what arises in you
🌿 Be with the entire experience, inner and outer, for as long as you like
If you’d like to experience a full session of Nature-based Mindfulness, join Ian this Sunday, June 14, from 9:30am to 11am!
