Another Pollinator Pride Party in the books! 🌈 🐝 Our friends at @sagelandcollab and wonderful local partners came together this past Sunday to celebrate the beginning of Pride month at the Nature Center at Pia Okwai.

Last week, seven Black-capped Chickadee chicks from one of our nest boxes along the Jordan River Trail were color banded as part of an urban ecology research project.
Corey Riding from Salt Lake Community College led the banding with support from our Conservation Outreach Ecologist, Jessica John.
**All banding and tagging is being conducted under a federal authorized Bird Banding Permit issued by the U.S. Geological Survey`s BBL.
Sailfest is back and better than ever!
What: FREE, family-friendly celebration for Great Salt Lake featuring a cardboard boat race, sailing regatta, opportunity drawing, art workshops, live music, food trucks, and opportunities to learn about Great Salt Lake.
Where: Great Salt Lake State Park & Marina (@greatsaltlakestatepark)
When: Saturday, June 7 from 10am-4 pm
Visit @growtheflowutah to register and receive one free entry into an Opportunity Drawing including ski passes, spa treatments, a guided fly-fishing trip, and more!
The Great Salt State Park fee is $5 per vehicle. To avoid this fee, you can park at Saltair and take the shuttle for free entrance at Sailfest (~5 min shuttle).
