Be a Part of the Nature Center at Pia Okwai
Changes are Happening Fast!
In 2020, we opened a small ⅓ acre campus with native plant gardens and gathering spaces for educational and community-building events and programming. In 2024, Phase II of the Nature Center has expanded our reach to 5 acres.
Construction on Phase II is complete, and we’re excited to use the space this year for lots of programming. This includes the Conservation Loop, the Emma Eccles Jones Pavilion, the George S. and Dolores Dore Eccles Amphitheater, Bird Blind, and The ALSAM Foundation Observation Tower.
We are still working on designs for Phase III, which will include the Ecological Learning Lab (expected ~$3M) and the Visitor Center (expected ~$7M).
