Diet

These birds are omnivorous, eating mostly invertebrates and seeds. They will forage on the ground, in bushes, and in trees.

Habitat

Found in mixed evergreen-deciduous forests as well as forest patches and trees near human settlements. Tends to breed in tall trees near rural villages. 

Nesting

Breeds from April to July and will often rear two broods during this time. Colonial breeder, with many nests active in a small area. In human care lays 3-5 eggs that are incubated for 14 days. . 

Did you know?

They are cooperative breeders, and up to four adults have been observed tending to chicks at one nest!
