Mostly flowers, leaves, and fruit; sometimes seeds and invertebrates.

Habitat

Inhabits low montane wet forest and low-canopied upland forest on the island of Mauritius.

Nesting

Lays 2 eggs in a twig nest. Incubation is 13-15 days, and fledging occurs 18-22 days after hatching.
