This class will be an introduction and exploration of Eco-Justice, which is an approach to conservation and environmentalism that takes into account social issues such as race, gender, class, and colonialism. This course will engage with topics like: critical consciousness, the origins of nature and wilderness, community based climate and environmental movements, food justice, and Indigenous ecological knowledge.

*The Oct 2023 class is being offered free of charge, but if you have the means and are able to make a donation of any amount that is greatly appreciated. If your circumstances allow, we recommend a donation between $15.00-25.00. If you make a donation please indicate that it is for the Eco-Justice course at the Nature Center.
