Let’s Go Birding Together

Join us for a casual, guided bird walk at Antelope Island State Park especially for LGBTQIA+ folx and our allies. This program is primarily for adults to connect with each other and the incredible birds who call the Jordan River Watershed home.

REGISTER NOW
No bird watching experience? No problem! Our educators and partners are experienced bird nerds and will help you spot and identify birds along the trail. We’ll even have freshly-sanitized binoculars and bird guides for you to borrow.

We’re not the only people around the country hosting Let’s Go Birding Together walks! You can read more about the start of Let’s Go Birding Together here and you can read about our program here.

Event Details

We’ll be meeting at 9am at the parking lot right before the Antelope Island Park gate (4528 West 1700 South; Syracuse, Utah 84075). Look for a sign that says Let’s Go Birding Together!

If you need a ride to Antelope Island, please register for a spot in our 15-passenger transit van. The van will depart from Tracy Aviary in Liberty Park at 8am.

Please make sure to dress for the weather and wear appropriate shoes. Bring a snack and plenty of water, and bring your binoculars if you have them. As always, we will have some binoculars and bird identification guides to share.

If you are unable to attend this event, PLEASE cancel your registration so other people may attend instead. Only registered participants may attend this program. You do not need to present a ticket when attending; we will ask for your name and confirm that the number or tickets we have for your party matches the number of people attending with you.
