Let's Get Social

We now have worm co-workers! Worms play an important role in soil health, and despite being tiny, can have a huge impact on the environment! 🪱🌱

They feed primarily on organic material, and Red Wigglers ingest leaf litter and decomposing vegetation. As worms eat, their waste mixes into the soil, and their movements introduce oxygen and create space for plants to take root.

A special thank you to @LetsGoCompost for providing these materials for us. This kit gives us the opportunity to share with the community the importance of vermicompost, composting with worms! ✨
Join us for Salt Lake County Library's monthly Storytime here at the Nature Center next week!
