Diet
This owl hunts during the evening and night. It sits in tree branches listening and looking for its next meal, which is usually a small mammal, bird, amphibian, reptile, or large insect.
Habitat
Lives in large forests near swamps or other water.
Nesting
The female incubates 1-5 eggs in a tree cavity or large abandoned stick nest while the male brings her food. Parents care for young for about 4 months, longer than most other owl species.
