Diet
The Black Vulture feeds primarily on carrion, but will on rare occasions eat small animals.
Habitat
The Black Vulture breeds in dense woodlands, forages in open areas and along roads, and roosts in large stands of tall trees.
Nesting
Black Vultures are monogamous and stay with their mate year-round for many years. Eggs are laid on the ground, often in caves, hollow trees, or abandoned buildings. The female lays one to three eggs.
