Green-naped Pheasant Pigeon

Otidiphaps nobilis

 

Diet

Forages for seeds and fallen fruit by walking slowly on the ground.

Habitat

Found in hilly and lower mountain rainforests in the western part of New Guinea. Occasionally found in lowlands.

Nesting

Builds a circular nest along the edges of wetlands. Lays 2-5 eggs, and incubation is 28-31 days. Fledging occurs at 60-100 days after hatching.
