Green-winged Teal

Diet

Eats seeds of aquatic plants, grasses, sedges, and aquatic bugs.

Habitat

Prefers small freshwater lakes and shallow marshes with abundant fringe vegetation.

Nesting

Lays 6-9 eggs in a ground nest lined with grasses, dried leaves, and down feathers. Incubation is 20-23 days.
