Hooded Pita

Diet
Forages on the forest floor among leaf litter. This species is an insectivore, and eats anything from beetles to cockroaches to larvae.
Habitat
Forests and other wooded habitats such as rainforests and secondary forests with heavy understory.
Nesting
Both the male and female use twigs and sticks to build a football-shaped flattened dome for a nest. Lays 2-5 eggs, and incubation is 15-16 days.
