Diet
Eats aquatic invertebrates and crabs; occasionally insects and eggs of other birds.
Habitat
Breeds in grasslands, but otherwise lives on shorelines.
Nesting
Lays 4 eggs in a nest made of sticks and vegetation on the ground. Incubation is 27-30 days and both the male and female incubate the eggs.
