Diet
These birds eat insects, berries, and nectar. In the summer months they will primarily feed on caterpillars and other larvae.
Habitat
Northern Orioles can be found in open woods. These birds prefer deciduous trees over coniferous trees.
Nesting
Nests are built by the females with little or no help from the males. Nests are a hanging pouch with its rim attached to a branch. These hanging nests are woven with plant fibers, vines, yarn, string, hair, and moss. Females will lay 4-6 eggs.

Northern Orioles are also called Baltimore Orioles. They got this name from their bold orange and black plumage which were the same colors as the crest for the family of Lord Baltimore.
