Plush-crested Jay

Diet

Eats insects, fruit, spiders, and sometimes the eggs of other birds.

Habitat

These jays are typically found in forest and woodland habitats, preferring the forest edge.

Nesting

Lays 2-4 brown-speckled eggs in a stick nest. Incubation is 18-24 days. Last year’s offspring will often return to help the nesting adults care for the new chicks.
