Diet
Eats seeds of grasses, shrubs, trees, and flowers. Also cactus fruit and berries.
Habitat
Lowland and foothill woodlands, edges of evergreen forests, and scrub grasslands.
Nesting
Nest is a deep cup of fibrous bark or grass strips, lined with fine cotton-like fibers. Lays 3-5 eggs and incubation is 11-13 days. young leave the nest 14-16 days after hatching.
