Diet
East mainly seeds and insects.
Habitat
Prefers extremely damp mountain forest with closed canopy, and is found most abundantly in areas with thick undergrowth of palms and bamboo.
Nesting
This secretive bird is rarely observed in the wild, so what is known of its nesting behavior has been learned from birds in human care. Typically lays 4-7 eggs, and incubation is 21-22 days.
