Hike Details:

  • The hike is a moderate 1.5-mile out-and-back trail that leads to the reservoir.
  • During the hike, we will learn why trees drop their leaves, enjoy the beautiful colors, observe seeds, and explore the reservoir before returning to the parking lot.
  • It’s common to spot moose in this area.
  • For those interested, continuing to Bell Canyon Falls is a more challenging option. This additional hike is short but demanding, and it’s also incredibly scenic and worth the effort.

Meeting Point:

  • We will meet at the Bell Canyon Preservation Trailhead, a large parking lot situated on top of the hill between two small roadside trailheads for Bell Canyon Reservoir.
  • Here are the GPS Coordinates: 40.571529, -111.798139

Logistics:

  • We are sorry that we can’t provide transportation for this hike.
  • Our meeting time is 9 a.m. at the trailhead. We’ll begin hiking shortly after and strive to return to our cars by 11 a.m.
  • Please be aware that this trail is exposed to the sun and has minimal shade. Remember to bring plenty of water, a salty snack, and your preferred sun protection.

We can’t wait to see you all there for what promises to be a fantastic day of exploration and enjoyment!
