May 4 @ 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm
FreeJoin the Utah Native Plant Society/Xerces Society in collaboration with us for an Atlas field training to learn more about the Atlas in a hands-on way.
As an Atlas volunteer, you’ll be trained in how to catch, photograph, and release bumble bees; conduct habitat surveys; and upload data to Bumble Bee Watch, an online data platform.
Your efforts will help scientists map current location, habitat, and floral hosts and this information will help inform future conservation actions.
Date: Sunday, May 4, 2025
Time: 1:00-4:00 pm
Location: Tracy Aviary in Liberty Park
Price: FREE
What to bring: Be prepared to spend the entire 3 hours outside with appropriate clothing, shoes, water, and snacks. Help Utah’s bumble bees by joining the Mountain States Bumble Bee Atlas as a community scientist!
