Nature Play Symposium
Tracy Aviary is excited to announce that registration is now open for the second annual Nature Play Symposium! This Symposium seeks to bring together professionals across fields who are all interested in advancing opportunities for unstructured, self-directed play in the outdoors and with natural materials.
This year’s presenters:
- Dr. Sarah Stone, Executive Director of Wonderbloom Nature Preschool, will guide us in exploring how nature play can be a powerful tool for cultivating foundational literacy skills in children.
- Sarah Lambson, Education Director for Ogden Nature Center, will share lessons learned through the process of developing and maintaining nature play spaces.
- The Utah STEM Action Center will share strategies for empowering parents and caregivers to facilitate math learning opportunities outdoors and in everyday life.
After the Symposium at 2:30 p.m. there will be an optional breakout conversation session.
