Membership Frequently Asked Questions

How do I purchase a Tracy Aviary Membership?

Tracy Aviary Memberships can be purchased in person at the Tracy Aviary Visitors Center, online HERE, or over the phone at 801-596-8500 ext 100.

I purchased my membership online. When will I receive the membership card?

Membership cards are mailed out weekly and will arrive by mail within 14 days. If the membership is a gift, you can indicate whether you would like the card to be mailed to your own address or to your gift recipient’s address at checkout. If you visit Tracy Aviary prior to the arrival of your card, you can use a picture ID of the cardholder to gain admission. If you prefer to pick up your card in person at Tracy Aviary Visitors Center, please reach out to [email protected] shortly following your purchase.

Who is included under my membership?

Tracy Aviary memberships are intended for same-household families, guests attending with them, and child caretakers (i.e. nannies, grandparents.) They are not intended to be shared by multiple households.

Who is named on the membership, and who must be present for admittance?

Each membership is attributed to a single named cardholder, and a single membership card will be issued. The membership card is required for admittance. The cardholder is not required to be present at entry, but if the membership card is not present, only an ID of the cardholder will grant access.

Can my spouse or another adult member of my household attend without me if I’m the primary cardholder?

Yes, but the membership card must be present. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Do you have memberships for businesses, care facilities, and other organizations?

Yes! Tracy Aviary has memberships for both corporate and non-profit organizations. Learn more about our options by reaching out to [email protected]

What do I do if my membership card is missing or damaged?

A photo ID of the primary cardholder can be used for admittance in the case that the membership card cannot be presented. Cards can be replaced at request at the Tracy Aviary Visitor Center. Lost cards found at Tracy Aviary are held in lost and found for up to a year – if yours is missing, don’t forget to ask at the front desk!

How long is my membership valid?

Memberships are valid for one year, ending on the last day of the same month it was purchased. For example, if you buy your membership at the beginning of January, it will expire on the 31st of January the following year.

When can I renew my membership? Does renewing early or part way through my current membership shorten my term?

You can renew your membership at any time. Regardless of when you renew your membership, the new term will begin after your current term. Renewing your membership before it expires will not shorten the term length of your membership.

Do you offer any discounts on memberships?

Currently, no discounts are offered on new memberships. Third party membership coupons are not accepted and cannot be redeemed for discounts. If you are a returning member and you renew prior to your expiration, you will receive a 10% discount on the membership price. This early renewal discount is available in person at the Tracy Aviary visitor center or over the phone and cannot be redeemed online.

Can I apply the price of my daily admission towards an annual membership?

Yes, within 30 days of your visit. You must present a physical receipt (or email confirmation for admission purchased online) in order to apply the price of admission towards the price of a membership. This offer is available in-person at the Tracy Aviary Visitors Center only. An admission receipt cannot be redeemed online or over the phone.

Can I give a Tracy Aviary membership as a gift?

Yes. Gift options are available at checkout both online and in-person. You will need to provide a name and contact information for your gift recipient, and the membership term will activate immediately upon purchase.

Can I give a Tracy Aviary membership as a gift if I do no know the name of the gift recipient or if I want the membership term to activate at a later date?

Tracy Aviary membership gift vouchers are a great alternative to purchasing a gift membership if your gift recipient is anonymous, or if you would like the membership term to begin at a later date. Membership gift vouchers activate when the gift recipient redeems it, rather at the time of purchase. They are available for purchase in-store only at the Tracy Aviary Visitors Center.

Can I upgrade my membership mid-term?

Yes. A membership can be upgraded to a higher level membership at any point in the membership’s term. Regardless of when the mid-term upgrade is purchased, upgrading will cost the full difference between the cost of your current membership, and the membership you are upgrading to.

How does the reciprocal program work?

With your membership, you receive free or discounted admission at participating AZA accredited zoos and aquariums across the country (excluding those within a 90 mile radius of our location)

We also offer reciprocal benefits with AHS Botanical Gardens across the country, and with a variety of local partners.

Because this list regularly updates, please refer to the main membership page for the full list of participating locations.

The reciprocal program is subject to the individual rules of each participating zoo, aquarium, and botanical garden. Be sure to call ahead prior to your visit. Other facilities will not be able to look up your Tracy Aviary membership and typically require your membership card to redeem deals.

What other benefits do I get with my membership?

To redeem your discounts online, you must create an account and login when making online purchases. Links to the registration and login portal can be found in the upper right hand corner of the webpage when you are making an online purchase. Be sure to use the name of the primary membership cardholder and the same email used when purchasing the membership to ensure that the discount activates automatically.

Is my membership tax deductible?

Tracy Aviary is a qualified 501(c)(3) non-profit organization registered in the state of Utah. Our memberships are priced such that the cost does not exceed the fair market value of received benefits. No portion of your membership purchase is considered a charitable donation. We recommend you consult with a tax advisor per the potential tax deductibility of your membership.
