Avian Experience Request Form

Please choose an experience and fill out the form below to request a date for your Avian Experience! You must book at least one week in advance for these experiences. 

All experiences require a General Admission ticket in addition to the experience fee.

Your experience will be led by a bird care staff member who will be present throughout for one-on-one questions and answers.

Filling out this form constitutes an experience request, and does not automatically book your experience or guarantee your requested date(s). Certain days and times may not be available for all experiences. Following your completion of this form, we will reach out to you by email to finalize your date and time.

• Flamingo Encounter

  $25 per person (10% off for Members)

  Go behind the scenes with our Chilean flamingos and their South American feathered friends! Tour our Flamingo holding building with our bird care team to learn how Tracy Aviary cares for flamingos in all seasons. After the tour, participants will join our flamboyance (flock of flamingos) in our Flamingo pond exhibit to get a closer view of the birds and learn more about their natural history while tossing food to the flamingos and waterfowl. This experience is unavailable when temperatures are 24° F or below.

• Raptor Rounds

  Learn about the fascinating world of raptors during this personalized tour with our bird care team. Watch turkey vultures open enrichment items, visit with a parliament of owls, and toss some treats to the eagles. *Availability of raptors is subject to change.

• Behind-the-Scenes Tour

  

  $20 per person (10% off for Members)

  Join a member of our aviculture team on a behind-the-scenes tour of Tracy Aviary to see how we care for over 400 birds each day. The tour gives guests the opportunity to see areas that are not normally open to the public, including our Avian Health Center and holding building. Experiences can be personalized to the interests of participants.

• Keeper Job Shadow

  

  $40 per person (10% off for Members)

  Are you interested in a career in animal care and conversation? Learn what it takes to be a keeper with a one-on-one tour with a member of our bird care team. This tour includes a Q & A with a skilled aviculturist and the opportunity to see many behind-the-scenes areas used in the care of Tracy Aviary’s more than 400 birds.

• Meet the Tortoises

  

  $25 per person (10% off for Members)

  Get to know our trio of Radiated Tortoises – Stanley Dandelion, Bernard Mustard, and Quentin Romaine while you prepare and serve them their favorite food – salad!
